Medium-sized furoshiki representing “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” , a famous Japanese print created by the painter Katsushika Hokusai in 1830/1831. This print is part of a series entitled The Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji ( fugaku sanju rokkei in Japanese) of 46 prints representing, among other things, different views of Mount Fuji, produced between 1830 and 1833.

Made in Japan, it comes from the “Ukiyo-e” collection inspired by 19th century Japanese works with varied subjects: landscapes, scenes of daily life, characters...

THE furoshiki is a traditional Japanese wrapping technique gifts and everyday objects using a square of fabric and a knotting and folding system . The term furoshiki designates both the square of fabric used and the technique itself.

This means furoshiki can also serve as napkin, small tablecloth, book wrapping or lunch basket .

Find on the site or in store, bag handles, in wood or leather , to accessorize your furoshiki. They will allow you to transform your furoshiki into a bag that can be carried by hand or on the shoulder.
