This large furoshiki from the Japanese brand Musubi has a pattern of koalas, squirrels and dark purple and blue gray birds , rosewood and dark green foliage on a pale yellow background.
Made in Japan, it comes from the collection of the designer duo Kata Kata known for their animal motifs.
Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese technique for wrapping gifts and everyday objects using a square of fabric, knotted and folded in a particular way. In this size, it can be used as a picnic tablecloth, a handbag or shopping bag or simply as a decorative element in its own right, hung like a wall hanging.
