This pretty large furoshiki from the Japanese brand Musubi has a dango pattern in shades of red and gray on a beige background.

Made in Japan, it comes from the collection around the work of the painter Yumeji Takehisa, from the romantic Taisho movement and known for his Binjin-ga paintings ( “ paintings of beautiful women ” ).

Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese technique for wrapping gifts and everyday objects using a square of fabric. In this size, it can be used as a picnic tablecloth, handbag or shopping bag as well as a decorative element in its own right, hung like a wall hanging.

Two types of accessories are available to enhance your furoshiki :

• A wooden clasp that allows you to transform your furoshiki in bag which will open and close easily.
• A selection of handles leather to carry your bag furoshiki by hand or on the shoulder.
