This little furoshiki from the Japanese brand Musubi , with a yellow background, represents 2 Mount Fuji :

  • one is blue, with a turtle on waves,
  • the other is red for the rising sun with a mythological crane .
The crane lives a thousand years and the turtle lives a hundred years, they symbolize luck, longevity, fortune, happiness and prosperity.

Fa bricked in Japan, it comes from the collection of the designer duo Cochae (Jikuhara Yosuke and Miki Takeda) known for its range of fun products inspired by origami.

Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese technique for wrapping gifts and everyday objects using a square of fabric and specific knotting and folding . The term furoshiki designates both the square of fabric used and the technique itself.

In this size, it can also serve as a napkin, small tablecloth as book packaging or for your lunch basket !

Find our bag handles, in leather or wood , to accessorize your furoshiki and carry your furoshiki bag by hand or on the shoulder.

You can also find folding such as the bundle, the basket, the gift wrappers, the bottle bag, the package bento and many others in our book “L’Atelier Furoshiki” .
