Small Musubi brand tea towel with pattern of red and pink camellias on a white background.
Made in Japan, it comes from the collection around the work of the painter Yumeji Takehisa, from the romantic Taisho movement, known for his Binjin-ga paintings ( “ paintings of beautiful women ” ).
Very soft, this little tea towel is made up of seven quilted layers of cotton gauze and tarlatan which make it very absorbent. The more you use it, the softer it becomes. It can thus be used, initially, as a kitchen towel and then become a dust cloth as it ages.
Material: 100% cotton gauze (front) / 100% tarlatan (back)
Dimensions: 30cm x 30cm
Warning: Before use, be sure to wash it well with hot water to remove the starch with which the fabric is treated.
