This little furoshiki from the Musubi brand has a floral pattern of red camellias on a dark gray background . Made in Japan , it comes from the collection around the work of the painter Yumeji Takehisa , from the romantic Taisho movement and known for his Binjin-ga paintings ( “ paintings of beautiful women ” ).
Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese technique for wrapping gifts and everyday objects using a square of fabric. In this size, it can also be used as a napkin, a small tablecloth or as packaging for your lunch basket!
To accessorize your furoshiki , bag handles, in wood or leather, are available in store and on the e-shop. They will allow you to transform your furoshiki into a bag that will open and close easily.
You can also find other folds such as the bundle, the basket, the gift wrappers, the bottle bag, the package bento and many others in our book “L’Atelier Furoshiki” , available in store and on the e-shop.
