An article in the Japanese magazine "Sakura"
At the request of the Japanese magazine Sakura , Tetsu Takiura came specially from Japan this summer to produce a series of photo reports with French designers.
He came to take photos of our apartment during the beautiful Parisian summer.
After tidying up the house, I realize that the shooting was much quicker!
As soon as it arrives, click clack, it’s in the box, as soon as it leaves!
When I received Sakura magazine at the start of the school year by post from Japan, I wanted to share these few images with you.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Yuko, a Japanese journalist, for thinking of us for this subject.
When Yuko asks me about the spirit of the house, my idea of decoration in general, I note a few key intentions to feel good in your cocoon:
- choose a bright place (I think that light is the priority for well-being in the house).
- start with a good base of white on the walls, ceilings, parquet floor included, punctuating this relaxing base with touches of current colors (objects, textiles, accessories, garlands)
- find some objects, textiles and furniture that resemble us (at Emmaüs and flea markets for example).
- Arrange storage as best as possible (custom-made furniture) to save space. (The trick obviously: have a cellar to be able to store the surplus! Not possible at home but the solution of storing with the parents still works a little:) Phew! ).
And you, what are the best decorating tips that we have given you?
