Paper Addict - Discover the joys of paper

"I'm not creative", "It's not for me", "I don't have the patience", "I'm not good with my hands"... These are some of the phrases that some of you slip me during their visit to the store. And yet...! For this new article, I wanted to introduce you to “ Paper Addict ”, my book about creative hobbies and paper.

I am deeply convinced that creativity is in each of us and that we just need to tame it through small, simple, quick and easy to set up creative projects that offer immediate satisfaction . 'have done ! » : customize a wooden frame with Japanese paper, fold small origami cherry blossoms to make a flowery card, make a bookmark with scraps of paper...

If you have followed me for a long time, you know my love for paper! Creative hobbies around paper are very varied: cutting/gluing, origami, card making, scrapbooking, cardboard, bullet journal and many others... And they have the merit of being accessible to all and requiring little resources: paper, a pair of scissors, glue and a little imagination!

In these times of confinement, I really wanted to share with you the details of my latest book “ Paper Addict ” (published by Marabout) and all the little creative projects that it could inspire you in the weeks to come ...

The work around this book turned out to be a real playground and experimentation! I had fun creating a summary of my world, while retaining this touch, this Japanese inspiration that is so close to my heart. I have gleaned on the right and on the left patterns that inspire me, colors that make me vibrate, beautiful images that awaken my creativity to offer a book which, I hope, will succeed in making you want to read launch and create!

Through this book, I have offered you several small creations that you can make identically or make freely your own by adding your own touch! It also contains something to invite you to give free rein to your imagination. The principle is to unravel it according to your desires, your inspirations and according to your needs.

So, you will be able to find:

  • things ready to cut out: bookmarks, small labels, drawings to frame, postcards, a perpetual calendar, a notebook, a poster...

  • supplies to invite you to create freely : origami papers in 15cm by 15cm, ranges of plain and patterned colored papers with a Japanese and floral spirit, stickers...

  • small creative projects, easy to make: little angels to hang, samurai and kokeshi to mount on a garland or frame, dioramas (or relief frame), a kite and small feline paper toys to mount as well as demonstrations of several origami foldings...

This book is an invitation to create, a base from which you have the freedom to imagine small projects: sending sweet words, making adorable origami folds, wrapping and decorating small things to offer, customizing a notebook , put in a frame a motif or an image that inspires you...

I sincerely hope that this book will accompany you during the (re)creative breaks that confinement offers some of us and that this article will inspire you!

Do not hesitate to share with us, on social networks, your achievements using this book!

Take good care of yourself and your loved ones.

See you soon,

Adeline
