Tips: cut Japanese paper!

To start the year off right and to help you make all your Japanese paper creations, I am happy to reveal our second tutorial video !

I often find myself at the store answering some of your questions: How to cut this? How to glue this? And since some of you are far away and don't have the opportunity to go to Paris to come and discover the store or participate in workshops, these short videos will help as many people as possible!

For this second video tutorial, I have chosen to teach you how to easily cut 15 cm by 15 cm origami squares from a large sheet of Japanese paper. To do this, I use a cutter and the cutting rule or patchwork rule which allows me to quickly cut the paper to the desired dimensions. It's a tool that I've been using for over 15 years now and which greatly facilitates my daily tasks, both for large-scale work, such as cardboard or bookbinding for example, and for origami. This request comes up regularly in the store and as you will see, it is easy and quick to make these 24 squares of paper which you will use to make all kinds of origami folding.

I hope you like this video.

See you soon for new video tips,
Adeline
